I don't need permission!

I have been completely inspired by this amazing blog Turtar discovered for us. Just make sure you go to the bathroom before you start reading it, and set your drinks down. There. You've been warned: It's high-larry-us. I've done my best to keep you dry while you start reading. Now I feel I can safely give you the link: Hyperbole and a Half. I highly recommend the posts marked "best of" on the side bar.

So after reading loads of her (the author's name is Allie) posts, I was feeling a little resentful of my Mac, which is really not like me. I'm honestly more likely to preach the benefits of Apple computers than to share my own religion. But I was missing something and I hadn't even realized how much I was missing it: Microsoft Paint. *sigh* Yes, I know it's a rudimentary and limited program, but I was pining.

So then I conducted some very in depth research on the matter. (Googling counts as 'in depth research' for the purposes of this blog post.) And I found (dah tah da DAAAHHAAHH!): Paintbrush!

Pros:
  • It's free.
  • It's "the closest thing to MS Paint for Macs". (It told me so.)
Cons:
  • I usually check with Turtar before downloading stuff. You know, just in case.
  • I want it now!

Pros:

  • I know the Admin password and it's my computer after all. Mostly.

Me (to self while triumphantly clicking download button): "I don't need permission! I want to 'paint'. I will paint!"

And now that I have, I've learned something: Paintbrush has very high-tech time-travel capabilities. Somehow, The Boy's entire nap time has elapsed and it's time to pick up Her Nibs from school. It's like magic!
