So after reading loads of her (the author's name is Allie) posts, I was feeling a little resentful of my Mac, which is really not like me. I'm honestly more likely to preach the benefits of Apple computers than to share my own religion. But I was missing something and I hadn't even realized how much I was missing it: Microsoft Paint. *sigh* Yes, I know it's a rudimentary and limited program, but I was pining.
So then I conducted some very in depth research on the matter. (Googling counts as 'in depth research' for the purposes of this blog post.) And I found (dah tah da DAAAHHAAHH!): Paintbrush!
Pros:
- It's free.
- It's "the closest thing to MS Paint for Macs". (It told me so.)
- I usually check with Turtar before downloading stuff. You know, just in case.
- I want it now!
Pros:
- I know the Admin password and it's my computer after all. Mostly.
Me (to self while triumphantly clicking download button): "I don't need permission! I want to 'paint'. I will paint!"
And now that I have, I've learned something: Paintbrush has very high-tech time-travel capabilities. Somehow, The Boy's entire nap time has elapsed and it's time to pick up Her Nibs from school. It's like magic!

Boy, you make me seem mean! :) I'm very impressed at your Hyperbole and a Half post. You should send a link to Allie and see if she looks at it.
Love Hyperbole and a Half. Yesterday I gave Torpedo some generic Benadryl (he does actually have a terrible cough/cold/fever) and when he got loopy making requests I said, "You can't even form a coherent sentence!" That website makes me laugh. Laughing dispatches dopamine. Dopamine fulfills me.
I love your drawing and bare bones simplicity.
You get it.
Awesome storytelling.
